My name is Katie Kaplan. I'm also known to some as Kate, Katie, Katherine & Mom. I enjoy reading, movies, photography, helping others and playing with my kids.

After earning my BA in graphic design from Bradley University, I have worked as a graphic designer and art director by profession. Since a little before the birth of our first child in 2007, I have been an independent designer working with a wide range of clients—from national advertising agencies to Chicago-area moms and small businesses.

Whether it is a timeless brand identity for a company or a fun creative announcement for a client's first child—my favorite part of designing is coming up with a one-of-a-kind creation that reflects each individual client. Problem solving and creating custom designs for each of my clients is what
